About

My name is Dr. Chris Raynor. I am an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, a University of Western Ontario alumni, a business owner, husband (for almost 30 years), and proud father to three exceptionally-talented grown children.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been an active person. You can ask my mother just HOW active I was as a kid [wink, wink]. In an effort to channel my – let’s call it – “exuberance for life”, my parents put me in sports. I played competitive football and basketball in high school, and I also ran track. I pursued my love of football in university as well by playing for the Western Mustangs (purple and proud, baby), and I even got a shot at going pro in my draft year.

As a new dad at the time, I thought it was a better idea to pursue a career that had a little more security – I chose medicine instead. In an effort to stay active over the years however, I’ve coached football, taught fitness, gotten my WTF Red Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and even opened a gym.

I’ve been working in my field for ten years, and that’s AFTER being in school and training seventeen years post-secondary. I has been a long, difficult, but very rewarding road. My wife (and partner in life) and I now own and run an integrated healthcare facility in Ottawa, Ontario called Human 2.0. We’ve hired specialists and trainers with whom we work side-by-side to deliver top-notch care to our patients and members. We believe in preventative medicine, injury prevention, life-long learning, collaboration, active rehabilitation, and sustainable fitness.

As an educator as well as a doctor, I want to help and empower EVERYONE to take charge of their own health and wellness. If you are not going to do it, who will?

Feel free to leave comments on the blogs and videos of questions you’d like answered, and leave suggestions for topics you’d like me to talk about. Remember, I can’t comment on personal circumstances without actually seeing you in person. Furthermore, it is my intention to have a variety of guests on my channel to discuss various topics in the healthcare and fitness fields, so you don’t have to limit your questions to being JUST about broken bones.

I’d like to personally welcome you to my #Hooman family, and remember…

Let me help and guide you to nurture and receive it.
